The third race for Amber for the 2005 season, on a brand new paved race track with high hopes of beating her track record.
` For the first practice of the day, Amber took out car #30 and struggled with the car being a little to tight. With minor adjustments made to the car amber went out for the last practice and the car felt better.
Time to qualify Amber went out and ran a 13.80, and fast time wemt for a 13.40, setting the Cope team in the twelfh postion for the main in a twenty-one car field. Amber started on the pole for the trophy dash taking the lead which gave her the win.
As the evening cooled off, the 100 lap main event has arrived. With the drop of the green flag Amber slowly amde her way up to the eighth position with the car being very loose. Around lap twenty under caution Amber accidently got into the back of the #2 car wrinkling up the front nose which made it hard to see out of. As lap sixty rolled around Amber had problems with the steering having to bring the car in. But all it comes down to is atleast Amber got some laps in the car, ya she may not have finished the way she would have liked to but she got some more seat time which is a plus!!
